A very interesting, substantial antique Edwardian clothes drying rack which we picked up at a local auction. We see it repurposed as a storage rack for boots/bags/baking/kitchen utensils or linens. We have mostly left it as we found it with some minor artistic embishments from ourselves to highlight the beautiful age related wear. Entire piece is made from solid beech with aged gold lions paw feet raised on green/grey bobbin legs that form an upper arch  supporting two hanging horizontal rails. Solid lower shelf with the upper shelf constructed in a decorative lattice pattern. We have also finished/sealed the aged paint/timber with a water based non solvent matt varnish to make it water resilient/food friendly. The piece is in very good strucural condition with no weak joints or wobbles.
