A very beautiful  Art deco burr walnut finish tub chair circa 1920s which we have sympathetically restored and traditionally reupholstered in Cole & Son jacquard 'Tile' fabric in a bronze and cream colourway. Chair sits on cabriole legs on pad feet to the front and sabre legs to the rear. Timber has very minor evidence of age related wear to the veneer and there is small evidence of a historical repair to one of the rear legs which is totally solid. The combination of an Art Deco tub chair shape and Queen Anne style legs results in a specific antique furniture piece that was popular in the 1920s and 1930s. This hybrid style offers a distinctive blend of the flowing curves typical of both eras. Visually captivating accent piece. No makers mark.
