Absolutely striking and sumptuously plumpFrench Louis XVI-style upholstered lounge armchair with burnished oxblood painted frames and loose feather cushions. 
 
These chairs have been impeccably made by UK furniture makers/upholsterers R Griffiths Wychwood and we have very subtly put our own arcade & parlour twist on by changing the colour of the paintwork.
 
The cushions and arms are in tactile but hard wearing Linwood Airforce Blue velvet.  The outside back and sides are upholstered in decadent velvet by House of Hackney.  The pattern is a broad stripe with an intricate ikat style pattern.  It pairs wonderfully with the dark cherry/oxblood richness of the timber and calls out the darker colours in the pattern.
 
Frames are solid with no loose joints. Very eclectic chair and simply stunning in the appropriate setting.
