A rare and original pair of Jens Risom C180 arm
chairs in black leather with walnut frames 1960. Leather is original so the chairs do show signs of wear from over sixty years of use but they are fully functional and visually stunning. We have had both latex seat cushions replaced and the timber has been danish oiled. We acquired these chairs several years ago from the original owners who bought them from Heals, London 1960. Jens Risom was a Danish furniture designer who found his major success in the USA in the 1960s. The original Jens Risom catalogue from 1960 which details the price of a C180 in leather/walnut at $405, undoubtedly a luxury piece of furniture for the time, will come with the chairs.
